For the last few months at Waratah 2 the children have been focusing on a project on Coronavirus and how the germs affect our bodies and our world.

They have looked at the germs up close and painted them, had conversations around what they think about Coronavirus, and made some lungs in discussion with how it affects our lungs.

Last week they also started making their own masks to start getting the children familiar with them and while also practicing great fine motor development. They are all very interested and happy to talk about the topic of COVID-19. It’s a very unknown time and sometimes a tricky subject to explain to children so for them to know that they can talk to their educators here and ask any questions, we believe is very important.
