Following up from clean up Australia Day, the Kangaroo Paw children at Waratah 2 learnt about the red and yellow bins. Kylie (educator) asked “What do you think recycling is?”

“It’s where you put the rubbish in the different bins.” Proudly answered G.

The children then took turns at sorting out the different materials into the bins.

During this experience the children learnt about recycling, taking care of the environment and the importance of playing an active and meaningful role in their community.
