Our ongoing connection with We Care Connect
is something we truly cherish, as it allows our Tillys Waratah 2 and local community to come together in support of vulnerable families while teaching our children about the power of kindness and collective action.
During Poverty Week, this partnership came to life through a series of meaningful, hands-on activities. The children took great pride in baking and decorating cookies to sell, knowing the funds would go toward helping families in need. They thoughtfully created thank you cards for We Care Connect, recognising the organisation’s tireless efforts to support those doing it tough. One of the highlights was our incredible raffle, which featured over 30 prizes generously donated by families and local businesses — a testament to the strength and generosity of our wider community.
This connection is deeply important to us, not only because of the support it offers to those who need it most, but also because of the valuable life lessons it provides for our children. Through this partnership, they are learning that even small actions can have a big impact. They’re developing empathy, understanding social challenges, and experiencing the joy of giving. It also strengthens our sense of community — bringing families, educators, and children together in a shared purpose. Our collaboration with We Care Connect is more than just a partnership; it’s a reflection of our values and a reminder that when we work together, we can help create a more compassionate and supportive world for everyone.
