Last week the children in the preschool room at Waratah 2 were involved in Indigenous Literacy Day on the 2nd of September. They participated in a group presentation celebrating Indigenous language & literacy. Following on from this the children explored the variety of Indigenous books in the the centre.

Indigenous Literacy Day aims to raise awareness of the need to support literacy in remote & isolated communities within Australia.
