Even through these hard times Waratah 2 likes to keep connected to their local communities.
Last week Novacare reached out to Waratah 2 inviting the children to share pictures or paintings which they could send to some of the elderly residents who are unable to have their families visit them due to restrictions of isolation. Director Bree spoke with some of the Bottle Brush and Desert Rose children about some of the elderly who are are feeling quite lonely at the moment not able to see their families. She asked the children if they would like to create some beautiful drawings or artworks to send to them to make them smile. Today they received a couple of photos from Novacare which showed some smiling faces holding the drawings – they were very thankful and appreciative of these treasures.💞
