Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) Training

Today our educators from Greta, Singleton, Rutherford, Cardiff, Abermain, Muswellbrook, Waratah 1 and Waratah 2 were involved in STEM training hosted by Niki Buchan from Real World Learning. During this training, we were able to engage in developing our knowledge and ideas around teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM). 🔬⚙️⚖️🍃
Together we made some STEM table top experiences using various materials. Then we ventured to the outdoors where we used the outside environment to find items that we could use to create a cubby and make a fire out of lint and dried grass. Once the fire was kept going, we were even able to pop popcorn!
These experiences allow us to further our skills which we can now incorporate into our everyday practices and learning experiences for the children.
