Here at Tillys Rutherford, our toddler room have been interested in creepy crawlies, bugs and insects but also really enjoying the A B C song.
This week our educator Miss Beth and friends found a wonderful story book which incorporated animals and letters. Whilst reading the story together at group time, the children were able to discuss their names and what letter it started with.
The children were so excited and enjoyed finding out what animal the letter of their name started with, and sounding out the letter from the alphabet.
To follow on we also created (as per the story book) an art work where the children were able to draw their specific animal which related to the letter of their name.
