At Tillys, we believe that even our youngest children are capable, curious, and full of potential—and nowhere is this more beautifully evident than in our 0-2 years Koala Room!

Guided by the inspiring philosophy of Loris Malaguzzi, an Italian educator and psychologist, and the founder of the Reggio Emilia Approach, our environment is thoughtfully curated to reflect the belief that:
“The child is made of one hundred. The child has a hundred languages, a hundred hands, a hundred thoughts, a hundred ways of thinking, of playing, of speaking…”
We see our environment as the third teacher, creating spaces that are not only beautiful but intentionally designed to promote exploration, belonging, and wonder.
Our latest wreath display is a beautiful example of this, offering a sense of connection and belonging to our families as they walk through our doors. These natural, handcrafted pieces invite curiosity and bring the outside world into the children’s everyday experiences

In the Koala Room:
Together, we’re nurturing a space where every child’s “hundred languages” can be expressed, explored, and valued
