Our children have been deeply invested in their ongoing fashion design project, exploring creativity, self-expression, and the many possibilities of working with fabrics and textiles.

As part of this project, we reached out to our wonderful Abermain families to see if anyone had white clothing the children could use as a canvas for their designs. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our community! A huge thank you to Cassie from “Onya Visuals”, who very kindly donated a white T-shirt for every child. This thoughtful contribution has allowed each child to create their own unique wearable masterpiece.

Throughout the project, the children have also been exploring the artwork and life of Frida Kahlo. They were particularly fascinated by Frida’s bold and colourful jewellery, which sparked many conversations about individuality, culture, and artistic expression.

Inspired by Frida, another of our amazing parents, Ella, generously donated a wonderful collection of costume jewellery for the children to use in their creations. The children have thoughtfully selected pieces to glue onto their T-shirts, transforming them into vibrant works of art that reflect their own ideas and creativity.

This project has provided endless opportunities for collaboration, imagination, problem-solving, and creative expression while strengthening our connections with our families and community. We are so grateful for the support of our incredible families, whose generosity has helped bring this learning experience to life.
