Clean up Australia Day Excursion.

On Monday the children from Tillys Abermain enjoyed walking to Centenary Park Abermain to collect and dispose of rubbish to support and be involved in Clean Up Australia Day.

Before collecting any rubbish we put on gloves and our educators made sure that each rubbish item was safe for us to pick up. We collected containers, plastic bottles, paper, magazines, newspaper, cups and cans. It was great to see the children so enthusiastic to collect and dispose of rubbish to support our local community. We discussed the importance of Clean Up Australia Day and the impact that littering has on our environment. Supporting the children to engage in experiences like this help them to reflect on the world around them and how they can help make a positive impact within their community and the environment.
