Tillys Play and Development Centre Cardiff is a 94-place long day care centre with a wonderfully open and friendly atmosphere that has recently been accessed by the Early Childhood Education Directorate, NSW Department of Education, and awarded an Exceeding rating across all 7 Quality Areas.
We have six rooms that all open up into a large outdoor play space that caters for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Our centre comprises of two 12-place nurseries, two 15-place toddler rooms and two 20-place preschool rooms. We pride ourselves on offering a wide range of open-ended resources and age-appropriate activities in all of these rooms.
We have a team of dedicated and passionate childcare educators who strive in implementing a comprehensive learning-curriculum for the children in our care. We strongly value partnerships with families and the community, knowing the importance of these relationships benefits the learning and development of the children and our centre. Tillys at Cardiff acknowledges and implements the importance of engaging in extensive cultural learning, with particular focus on education that recognises the value of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their rich cultural history and ways of knowing and being.
In an effort to implement the best for our children, we have achieved Level 3 Accreditation in the S.T.E.M Detectives program (highest achievement). We pride ourselves on the experiences implemented to further the children’s learning in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
Each and every one of our rooms provides the children with a glorious sense of Belonging as we display their artworks, photos of themselves and photos of their families. We incorporate a variety of natural resources, promote sustainability and encourage the children’s sense of responsibility in the world around them.
Our outdoor play space stimulates the children’s sense of exploration where they can discover our ‘Wombat Stew’ inspired mural, wooden boat, bike track, climbing equipment with forts and slides, two sandpits, gardens including vegetable gardens and worm farms, rock pit with wooden boat and centre pets.
By providing opening hours of 6:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday, 51 weeks of the year we are here to offer care to your child when you need it throughout the day. Our in house cook prepares all meals fresh daily and caters to any dietary and allergy requirements.
