We were lucky enough to have Nicole from the Newcastle art gallery visit Waratah 2 today. Nicole conducted a water colour workshop with some of our preschool children. Nicole taught the children techniques used by Newcastle artist John Olsen to create his art works.
Nicole brought with her tools for the children to explore while encouraging them to experiment by creating long curvy bendy lines, squiggles and splatters the teqniquies used to create abstract expressionism like Olsens.
Thank you Newcastle Art Gallery this incursion was such a wonderful experience for the children. We can’t wait until you visit again in October for another workshop.
