Yesterday at Cardiff, the Echidna room went on an excursion where they walked down to the local reserve area for a picnic as they have been learning about their environment as well as positive food choices over the last few weeks. They enjoyed a picnic for morning tea trying some new fruits being star fruit, custard apple, grape fruit, kiwi fruit, quince and pineapple. After eating morning tea and trying the different fruits the children explored the area with Kylie, looking at a fern tree nearby which they collected some fern leaves from as a memento to take home.
