At a time when the world, as we know it, has been turned upside down ,we reflect on how very fortunate we are. We have so many things to be grateful for.
How could we show our gratitude to others? What could we do to help and support those in frontline work. Who could we support and show our appreciation to. Of course our thoughts went immediately to the nurses, doctors and police who are at the very forefront of this pandemic each and every day. These front workers who work directly with Covid patients. They do this with compassion, dedication and commitment by turning up each and every day even when they face one of the most challenging roles one could ever imagine.
They say Rainbows have a pot of gold at the end. These front workers are that pot of gold. We want to show them some kindness and appreciation. Hence the birth of our
RAINBOW PROJECT
We would like to say a big thank you to the families who donated items to help create the two amazing hampers.
The children & educators from Waratah 2 presented one of the hampers to the Waratah Police Station to say thank you for all the hard work they are doing to keep us safe in the community.
Our second hamper was presented to the Mater hospital staff.
We have also reached out to our local elders who were excited to receive some beautiful artworks created by our toddlers and babies.
