For Lunchbox Day at Greta, the Preschool Room created a canteen. As part of our Transition to School program we are helping children develop familiarity with their school environment and expectations.

As well as looking after their packed lunches in Kindergarten, children may also have the opportunity to use money and visit the canteen at their school.

The Preschool Room recently turned their home corner into a canteen to help children explore the concept of money as well as practising how to politely ask for what they would like to order. We continued this today with the children all presenting Sally with their coins to ‘buy’ their lunches and a drink of milk or water.
