🌻STAFF SPOTLIGHT – TAMARA 🌻
Since relocating to Newcastle after 15 years working overseas, Tamara joined the Tillys Waratah 2 team in 2016 as a trainee, studying her Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care through Tillys College of Childcare.
Tamara has progressed with her studies and is now currently in her final stages of her Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care and has loved every minute of her studies with Tillys College of Childcare. She has been able to gain valuable experiences and knowledge from the course content and the first hand experiences from the educators she has worked alongside.
Tamara is currently in the Rosella room with the 2-3 age group, although she recently stepped into the kitchen role for nearly two months and really enjoyed it, however missed her Rosella children too much and couldn’t wait to return to the room with them! She loves implementing projects within the Rosella room, recently they have been focusing on their current room interest of ‘Sea life’ learning about the different marine life and all aspects of the ocean. She loves implementing art and craft experiences while embedding Indigenous culture into daily room routines and practices.
Tamara is an avid traveller and enjoys visiting remote countries where she can learn firsthand of different cultural backgrounds. She has a keen interest in health and fitness and when possible tries to incorporate her interests into educating and within the room environment. Tamara is very popular with the children and families and prides herself on the strong relationships and bonds she makes.
