Kellea!
Kellea began her journey with Tillys in 2019 when she came to Waratah 1 to be our centre cook. Kellea immediately immersed herself into the Tillys culture building relationships with both children and staff. Kellea greets each day here with a smile and has been an amazing support to staff. Kellea takes great pride in her kitchen and that is reflected in her work and the amazing food she prepares each day for the children.
Kellea had only been at our Waratah 1 centre for a short time when all her hard work and dedication was recognised at the Tillys Annual Awards Night, taking home the award for Cook of the Year! Kellea was quite humbled by her win and truly appreciated the recognition. She is not only an amazing cook in the kitchen but her dedication and care within her work shines through everyday. The children now run up to her daily to greet her and some of the children put their arms up for a quick cuddle!
Kellea goes above and beyond her expected work tasks and helps where she can throughout the centre. Kellea enjoys having a laugh with both the staff and the children and will always make time to listen to a child if they approach her. During recent months Kellea has been helping with the centre cleaning and ensuring the safety of everyone here at Waratah 1. Tillys Waratah 1 gained a valuable member of our family in Kellea and we couldn’t be happier.
