At Rutherford Tillys, the children have been having weekly visits from Kristi from Chirp and Roar. This week Kristi took the children on a trip around the world. Sharing music and instruments from around the world. Kristi introduced the children to a güiro. The children used the sticks to explore the different sounds they could make. Playing the güiro with children develops fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, bilateral coordination, and a foundational understanding of rhythm and tempo.
