Petition for the Aboriginal Flag

Did you know..
The Australian & NSW state flag flies high on the Sydney Harbour Bridge all year round, yet the Aboriginal flag is only flown for 15 days of the year?

During NAIDOC week, the children celebrated & explored many different aspects of the history, culture & achievements of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people. The above fact was discovered at a conference which was attended by some of our educators from different centres, & was discussed after they brought their information back.

There is currently a state wide petition to have the Aboriginal flag flown all year round amongst our state flag & the Australian flag.
The petition has been made available along with displays within our services. We would greatly appreciate if our families have a read & sign if they wish. If you would like more information on the petition please see your centre director.
